The search strategy package includes a keyword analysis and visibility report. Both reports are researched and completed manually by an SEO consultant in our office in the United States, not by a software program looking for a predefined set of criteria. The keyword analysis evaluates a specified number of client-supplied keywords, and the competition for those keywords, within the major search engines. It also details what keywords SHOULD be used to create the most qualified traffic possible and determines what is needed to rank your website at the top of search engines within search results. The visibility report shows where you rank in major search engines for specified keywords at the time of the report. Most major search engines have spiders or 'bots that roam the Internet and seek out and index all web pages publicly posted. This means that your web site will be indexed by the major search engines whether you formally submit it to the search engine or not. But their automatic indexing cycle can sometimes take over 120 days to find new material. There is still an advantage to manually submitting web pages to search engines - they get listed faster and usually receive higher rankings within the listings. Manual Submission - Your website is manually submitted to the ten major search engines which accept free submissions including; Google, Yahoo! (search engine), AOL, MSN, Dmoz, HotBot, Ask Jeeves (search), Alta Vista, Lycos, and Teoma. Each page is reviewed by our SEO staff and submitted in accordance with the individual search engines submission requirements. A confirmation report of submissions to each engine will be provided. By submitting directly, and not waiting for the search engine spiders and 'bots, results within search engines have a shorter timeline for posting. Paid Submissions - A budget can also be developed to submit your web site to the search engines that take paid submissions of web pages. Search engines that accept paid submissions of web sites, such as Yahoo! Directory and AskJeeves, will list submitted sites at the top of their search results and usually guarantee that sites will be listed in a defined period of time shorter than their 'bots normal search cycle, and that the sites will be reviewed for new content on a regular basis. Although both Yahoo! and AskJeeves accept free submissions in addition to paid submissions, the paid submissions show up at the top of search results. For paid submission search engines, each page is submitted by our SEO staff in accordance with the individual search engine submission requirements. To have the greatest impact, submissions should be done manually, as submission requirements change on a regular basis. Automatic submissions are sometimes viewed as spam by search engines and not posted. Submission requirements are reviewed by our SEO staff, and pages are then posted to the appropriate search engine categories. Search engine submission costs vary with each search engine, and are in addition to regular submission package costs. There are also independent paid inclusion directories and search engines targeting very specific audiences. Overture, LookSmart, and MSN are among those used for costs per click campaigns.
